Todd A. Capistrant is a family physician who moved from a very busy practice in Wisconsin to a part–time practice in Fairbanks, AK. Working at an Urgent Care practice has allowed him to focus more time on his family and his kennel of sled dogs.
Todd has trained his dog team for long distance racing and has completed the 1,200 mile Iditarod Sled Dog Race, as well as many other races.
Between working and training his dogs Todd loves to find time to slip away to his shop and produce beautifully functional objects on the lathe. Using local and exotic wood Todd enjoys the process of turning raw materials into finished artistic products.
Todd and his family also enjoy exploring the wonders of Alaska. They can often be found hiking, fishing, hunting, berry picking and exploring.
